Blog #5 What are three different points of view?

My first common point of view on my topic about legalizing marijuana is that marijuana should be legalized for recreational and medical used. The people on this side of the argument believe that it is better than alcohol and some dangerous prescription drugs. They also believe it has helped with money in Colorado and Washington, so it might be able to build our economy back up.

Another common point of view is that marijuana should be legalized for only medical use.  These people usually believe that marijuana is better than other prescription drugs. However, they also believe people should not be able to use it for recreational use, because it can cause people to be lazy, and can be abused.

The third point of view is that Marijuana should not be legal at all. It is likely that these people take driving under the influence of marijuana seriously. It is hard to determine weather or not a person is too high to drive, because THC stays in the human body much longer than the high. There have been a lot of studies where they are trying to decide a limit, and how to measure the THC level for drivers.

Some things that I would want to know as a reader would be how long does THC stay in the human body. Another thing that i would want to know is how does marijuana help “money” in Colorado and Washington. That isn’t very specific and im not sure who is making the money or who it is even benefiting. Lastly I would want to know how marijuana is “better” than prescription drugs.
